The Second Annual Diverse Power Grand PrixOn February 28, 2019, the first ever GreenpowerUSA race in the State of Georgia was conducted on the beautiful LaGrange College campus. The Diverse Power Grand Prix hosted thirty-two teams and 236 middle and high students from across the nation. The Second Annual Diverse Power Grand Prix took place on February 29, 2020, bringing together the most exciting elements of GreenpowerUSA racing, plus the signature events that distinguished this race. They stayed on the square, raced on the campus and a few took home the Georgia Cup!

The Track
The 7/10 mile track winds through the athletic training area of LaGrange College. There are seven turns and wide, fast straightaways that allow cars to go five wide in some areas. The Georgia Cup The first and only GreenpowerUSA race in Georgia! Teams compete to take home the coveted Georgia Cup. The Hospitality We want to make sure you have the best race experience possible. We spoil our coaches with access to the biggest hospitality room imaginable. Every different type of food truck you can think of serving up delicious food Friday evening and all day Saturday. Everyone leaves happy. |
The Events
Every team gets to race in two 90-minute heats. Additionally, the participants get to participate in a Friday night Rookie Race under the lights. Saturday, teams compete in the Pit Crew Challenge, to determine who is the nation's best pit crew. The College LaGrange College rolls out the red carpet for our guests! Last year, LC offered every student, both middle and high school, a $2,500 scholarship. This beautiful campus is an idyllic setting for a February GreenpowerUSA race.
